Does anyone have experience with a 997.2 Porsche with an IPD plenum? I’m considering one for my 2009 C4S. Would appreciate comments. Thx.

@ex099 has an IPD plenum on his 2008 Cayman S Sport. Perhaps he can chime in? I’m pretty sure he is happy with the increase in performance. I’m not positive, but I think the throttle body was also upgraded.

Hi everyone:
Larry’ is correct. When we first got our Cayman (2019), I was interested in a bolt-on upgrade that would enhance the already stellar performance of the car. I did a lot of research and decided on IPD. After speaking with Mike (IPD’s owner), I was convinced it would be the right choice. I opted for the larger Competition plenum, which required the 82 mm, GT3 throttle body. In my opinion, IPD’s Competition plenum and TB was a perfect addition. Performance off-idle and throughout the RPM range is terrific, with much-improved throttle response.
A little background on Mike and IPD;

Of course, the Plenum/TB is not inexpensive, but it’s one of “cheaper” performance upgrades on your Porsche that you should notice immediately.
I hope this helps.
Best, mike.

I put one of these in my 997.2 C4S a couple of years ago. Great alteration. Obvious seat of pants increase in power across the rpm range. Seems somewhat greater at higher rpm. I have not dynoed it to get exact values.
