Attached are photos of the 718 sports chrono bezel cover prototype. Unlike the 992 and Taycan bezel covers, that simply slip over the bezels, the 718 one required a lot of fabrication. News about availability coming soon! My first impression is that it looks great with my red drive mode knob cover - just the right amount of subtle, sophisticated bling.

Tom,

Looks outstanding……looking forward to meeting the criteria for obtaining on for our 2023 Cayman GTS 4.0 that will be in Shark Blue that will be buikt next month.

I now wish I. had the Sport Chrono Option in my 2019 Cayman S. Although not sure what color bezel I would like.

Thinking of adding the Sport Chrono trim piece to my dashboard and then installing a clock in that trim piece like I saw someone did on one of the other Forums.

By the way really like your license plate mounts……used both sets…..soon need to order a second set.

Great job on the Carpokes website,

Dave

Can’t wait to get me a car that will require one of these! I’m hoping for one in flat black. They look so pro.

I’ll let @Tom chime in, but he tried literally a couple dozen iterations of the sports chrono 718 bezel cover and none of them were optimum. Unlike the 992 bezel covers, the 718 is tightly surrounded by the bezel enclosure at the top 40-50% of the SC which doesn’t allow the cover to adhere to the bezel.

On the other hand, the hand painted drive mode selector fits perfectly - it looks like an OEM option.🤙🏻

I've kind of parked the 718 sports chrono bezel lately. After a ton of effort, I got to a design that is functional, as seen in Larry's picture. I'm just not sure it's 100% Porsche worthy. The 992 bezels and the mode dial covers look (to me) like factory options, but the 718 sports chrono gauge has been a challenge. The one I finally did for Larry looks 'ok' but I still need that 'ah-ha' moment to get the design just right. I'm probably more critical of it than Larry (and most rational people) but I'd feel better if it was in the "wow, that looks like a factory option" league, like the other parts. I haven't given up on it, just took a break hoping that inspiration hits when least expected. :)
