I'm new to the forum and I just wanted to say hello and introduce myself. My name is Tom and I live in Illinois about 60 miles southwest of Chicago. 12 years ago this November I drove out to The Idaho/Oregon boarder and picked up a basket case Porsche 944 Turbo, sapphire metallic. I've put a lot of hard work into the car over the years and learned much during the process. I'm still learning and still spending $$$. Recently my head gasket let loose and I had to replace it. Having a few other issues I plan on addressing this winter. I damaged the splitter earlier this year pulling out of a car show and need to have it repaired. Running with the batwing currently.

Welcome, sir! What color is your car now? I love the 944 turbo. I owned mine for 23 years.

Paint is Sapphire Metallic. Professional respray about 4 years ago.

Welcome to Carpokes! Sorry for the late welcome but somehow missed this.

. That paint looks seriously nice. What front lip is that?

Thanks for posting the pic - I’m heading for a respray with sapphire metallic in the next month.

Here in the area? Who will do the work? Getting mine redone has been on my list forever...

Hi...I think I got the splitter from Texas Performance Concepts. Unfortunately I damaged it a bit so I'm back to the batwing until next year. Paint is about 4-5 years old but still looks great.
