Element Fire Extinguisher - Thoughts?

I'd like feedback on the Element fire extinguisher sold at https://elementfire.com/. I was thinking of putting one in each of the 944s as the concept sounds good, but do they work to put out an engine fire, or would a traditional extinguisher be better? I have two Halon (yes, actual Halon) extinguishers I bought years ago but never got installed and it seems the Element would be less expensive to install instead of getting the very nice looking (and expensive) Rennline quick disconnects to go with the Rennline seat brackets I just ordered.

Any thoughts would be appreciated.

I plan to replace my small chemical extinguisher in the S2 with an Element one (hidden out of sight), since it's just a street car. On any tracked car, I plan to carry both, just in case.
No personal experience with either, just my 2c and what I plan to do when I got the money to throw at it.

Pack a 20 lbs bottle in the car in addition to one of those

Anything smaller isn’t big enough.

I was a paid not volunteer firefighter from 1989-2004. I know hot ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ burns 🫢😆

what is the diameter of them? i had a thought that shared elsewhere that the japanese market flare holder mount might be a good fit for the Elemental FE

I'm seriously considering this.. having experienced a few car fires, I carry an extinguisher in every car and the one in the 944 is just laid on the floor in the rear of the car because I can't bring myself to pay what the seat rail brackets cost..

I used the element bracket and just zip tied it to my parking brake handle. I can grab it as I hastily exit the car without fishing around in the back compartment, etc.

I have one attached to my half cage behind the driver’s seat and another one in the scuttle where the battery would go on a US car.

Any first or even reliable second-hand experience or testimony about them actually putting out a fire? I have a 2.5lb red bottle now, not enough space to put a sufficiently accessible 5lb. The Element units sound great if they actually work as claimed especially on fuel/oil fires in the engine bay.

Appreciate the help!
