Tom, that’s insane! They look far better than anything I pictured when we first started this. A testament to your attention to detail, no doubt. I can’t wait to finally have a fully functional sound system again!

@Tom

The fitment is absolutely perfect! The rear mounts are even better with the .5mm decreased width, and the fronts fit exactly like they are supposed to! My metal mounting plate is a little deformed from PO shenanigans, but it will work perfectly!!!!

I can’t thank you enough!!

That's awesome Darwin!!! Imagine if they had a 3D printer on Apollo 13! You'll have to post video of it playing some tweeter-intensive song when it's all buttoned up. I've been using the Formlab Pro Grey for other things lately too and am thinking it's plenty strong and heat resistant for most car parts. Once printed, it gets baked for 15 minutes at 176F, so it's oven tested to at least that. :)

Finally got some time to start on tweeter mounting! The rear will be easy because I used existing hardware. For the front, I had to drill out the original mounting hole because it wasn’t designed for a bolt or screw to pass through.

Well I'm not sure if anyone will much care for my taste in music but that's ok. I still have to replace the front drivers and rear passenger tweeters, but the speakers that were inoperable are now FMC! There are still some rattles because I do need to refoam the door mids. Hope to have that done in the next few weeks!

Earlier you mentioned you had made some adjustments based on my drawings. What did you have to tweak?

I think I had to correct my screw hole placement and size. I also looked to see how wide your rendition was just to confirm that my design would fit.

Know I'm reviving an old thread here, but any chance you guys have the STL's for the mounts?!

The P/O of my new-to-me 88 944s for whatever reason removed the door tweeters, and they're impossible to find! Would love to use my brother-in-law's printer to make mounts to put some aftermarket tweeters in.

Fingers crossed!
