I wrote this up while back on Pelican. Some links may no longer work, but part# should still be good. Easy to find 6-terminal TPS connector as "300zx z32 MAF connector"
I'm listing sources for the engine-harness connectors to make repairs or to build your own replacement harness. Some items have multiple sources with slightly different configurations. Such as complete connectors with pigtails or individual components of housings, contact-terminals, seals and boots. Many thanks to IceShark for teaching me a lot of this stuff.
BACKGROUND
The Bosch/TE/AMP connectors used on the car are from the Junior Timer series. They are connection-compatible with the Junior Power Timer series as completed plugs & sockets. Although the contact-terminals inside the housings have to be from the same series. So if you're building a connector with Junior Timer housing, you have to use Junior Timer contact-terminals inside it. Same with Junior Power Timer housings and terminals. I recommend using the Junior Power Timer series whenever possible as they are more robust with double-catches, double-springs, and can accept wire-seals for better weatherproofing. Junior Power Timer terminals shown below.

Howdy stranger -- great post, thanks. The one thing I've still been struggling to find is a factory-looking rubber boot for the TPS connector. I've seen the ones with the acordian-look, but not the standard-looking (smooth) JPT rubber boot. Have a source for that by any chance?

Happy to report I finally found a good female pin with insulation legs intended to wrap around an 18g wire (17 to 22awg actually). It's part number 144431-1 My quest is complete.Tom wrote: Fri Apr 29, 2022 8:12 pm yeah, I thought the pictures were identical, but they are slightly different. There's also no way to know if the aliexpress ad shows their actual product or the real thing...
Since we have assembled a group that shares my bizarre interest in electrical connectors, maybe I'll ask if someone can help with an issue I've had for a long time. On the terminal pins, the part that wraps around the wire insulation has been a constant pain for me. I make a harness for my Track Nanny that uses both the male and female pins. I've found good male pins, with little tangs that wrap around an 18 gauge wire nicely. See pic. For the female pins, like the ones that go into the engine harness connectors, the part that wraps around the wire insulation is always too big. I end up snipping them shorter before I crimp them, but would love to find female pins with shorter wire insulation tangs that would wrap around an 18 gauge wire without needing to be cut.

These are perfect....

But I end up cutting these down to size...
