It's back from the booth and in Ron's garage to continue the cure process and begin reassembly. Ron has told me that picture updates will be minimal from now on, so that the surprise is bigger when he delivers it in the next 3-4 weeks. Here are some of the latest pics:

**For those that haven't read the first post, the respray color is the factory LY5Z, Nautic/Ocean Blue Metallic.

I have some short video's of the sunroof panel to show the shine but unfortunately I can't get them to upload on Carpokes.

At this point, I think my next (and final) update will be upon delivery in the next few weeks. It's been quite the saga, but as of right now I'm 100% certain I picked the right person for the job!
Congrats! I know you cannot wait to see it all back together. The color will be out of this world!

Put your videos on your YouTube channel if you have one and you can then easily embed/link them on Carpokes. (It's straightforward to create a YouTube channel of your own if you haven't already using an existing Google account.)

Looking really good! I like that he's taking the time to cure the paint at his place instead of just handing it off as soon as possible. There are lots of quality indicators seen in this thread. Hopefully he's willing to have you share his contact info here.

Hey Ian!

He has no issues with me sharing his contact info at all. He does have another car lined up after mine. He's a one man show, so I had put a deposit down to hold my spot in line.

Love the progress and the color! I had a Prussian Blue 911 back in the day and it also shifted from blue to purple in the sunlight. Looks like your guy is doing a great job!

p.s., Send me the videos at [email protected] and I can post them in this link. Or, put them on YouTube and post a link and it will automatically embed.

Hey All - It's the final countdown. Weather permitting, Ron will be hauling the car from Salem, VA to Raleigh this Saturday. If there's too much of a threat of rain, it will have to wait until early July due to prior commitments. Let's hope the sky's remain clear! Here is another teaser he sent me.

Well, it's a wrap! Actually, it's a respray. The car is back home and I couldn't be happier. Ron did a fantastic job and I know I chose the right person for the work. Just with pictures, you might say "it looks the same as before it was painted", but I assure you it had MANY flaws that didn't show up on camera.

The paint has to cure some more before it can be waxed/ceramic coated etc. I also have some mechanical work to do on the car, so it probably won't see the road for a few months while I get it sorted. I also plan to get a new windshield since mine has 177k worth of stone chips. Can't wait to pay that bill.....

One thing I have to figure out - I bought all new, Porsche seals for the doors, etc. They have this white-ish color to them which quite honestly looks like crap. I tried to use some rubber/vinyl products and they don't seem to make them nice and black. Anyone have any ideas?

There are some videos as well, but it's easier to view them on the Javelin Motor Cars FB page: https://www.facebook.com/Javelinmotorcars

Thanks to all who have been following the progress!

Looks incredible. I am in the same process with our Na project and I am hoping to have it back in the next few weeks.

If you ever get down to the Charlotte area, I would love to check it out. Good luck with her.
