Last year before a track day, I shopped around for an alignment. Found a race shop and a reputable indie Porsche shop, both were just under $800. That did not include corner balancing. Had to bite the bullet.

But since then I found an indie tire shop that charges about $150. I’m rebuilding my control arms and power steering system. So I will give them a try soon. Will be really interesting if it’s just as good.

Plus I’m also using Gyraline app. Works really well once you get the hang of it. I’ve used it effectively to correct alignment when the front is pulling to one side.

The problem with regular shops is they may have trouble with the rear end: it's unfamilar, may be frozen or seized, and there's the little porsche tool for toe.

The tool is pretty cheap (around $50 USD or so).. I actually have it and have taken it to the shops.

If you familiarize yourself with the rear setup, you can help out the tech & point out the adjustment locations. Look for more experienced people and up to date equipment and you can certainly get factory-spec alignment for regular-car prices

...and don't forget to sit in the driver's seat
