Max ran his race and McLaren never challenged . Fairly boring race . Yuki did Ok but nothing special . Nice to see Antonelli/Albon/Bearman and Hadjar all get points . Lawson/Ocon/Sainz off the pace of their teammates . Ferrari seem a little off the pace . Doohan made it through a race but I fear the hatchet is coming . Sauber still in the parking lot .

Not the best race I have ever seen, but Antonelli is incredibly impressive for a rookie. That kid has a bright future........

Kimi Antonelli is my new hero, qualifying 4th at the Bahrain Grand Prix, though a very minor pit lane glitch penalized him down to 5th for the start. The young Italian is 5th in the Standings and has made it to Q3 at every one of the events this year. It looks like Mercedes made a very wise choice and he has , so far, shown the chops to be the " Top Rookie " for the 2025 Season. I have to believe we are seeing a new F1 Star in the making.

Piastri was on the Pole , which is another exciting note to the Grand Prix tomorrow, as a win this Sunday could make it a 3 way battle between himself , Norris and Verstappen , quite early in the F1 Schedule.

Piastri wins in Bahrain, so he moves up in the mix and he is the only Driver with 2 wins this year. From Norris at 77 points , Piastri follows his Teammate at McClaren by only 3 points, Verstappen is down 5 more at 69, and Russell is only 6 more back at 63. These 4 have the biggest leads, but it is already shaping up as a very interesting year for F1.

Alas, my new favorite driver Kimi Antonelli just misses a points position for the first time this year, ending up in 11th - so close. He leads all the Rookies so far, dropping just a bit to 6th in the standings.

I won't post race results until later but might as well tease with qualifying/final grid results for today's race start.

"...Max Verstappen Grabs F1 Saudi Arabian GP Pole"

"Verstappen’s lap of 1:27.294 seconds—a new track record—was just 0.01 second faster than Piastri, the closest margin so far this season."

The Yuki/Gasly contact was unfortunate for both . Potential points for both erased on the first lap . The race overall was boring in my opinion . Good to see Williams score points with both drivers . Antonelli/Hadjar continue to impress . Aston Martin on suicide watch their car is not good . Sauber way off pace . Haas didn't have much at this race .

Hamilton continues to struggle to adapt to the Ferrari. Doohan not doing much to retain his seat .
