The recent posts are absolutely fascinating! Exciting to see that Porsche is so involved, and gaining performance too. I'm reaching out to someone who can "CAD up" both the intake and the valve cover. That said, if there are other sources of a CAD, I can provide models and/or dimensions. Please respond with friendly leads.
Thanks,
MM

That was informative and also quite amazing, even more so since it was over 4-years ago. Consider the lightning fast advances in technology from then to now and beyond!ROB III wrote: Sat Feb 22, 2025 10:04 amHere is a video from Papadakis Racing in SoCal that runs a Toyota in GT racing. They print in Inconel which I understand to be more durable than titanium.333pg333 wrote: Thu Feb 20, 2025 10:37 pm That sounds pretty exciting Tom & Michael. Love the idea of printing so many parts for our cars. As Michael says, one offs are really not chased by any manufacturers. Unless you're stupid like me and pay #krazy! money for a one off billet intake!
Heck, they're printing houses nowadays so surely we can so some smaller detailed parts. It's the new materials that can be used which are becoming more and more advanced. Soon they'll be printing off complicated exhaust headers. Pretty sure Koenigsegg prints parts of turbo chargers...Amazing! The guy doing the new aero kit for me is going to print some of the parts. Perhaps just to act as a mold but it shouldn't be long until it will just be the complete piece.

"To Infinity and beyond!!" Sorry, showing my age there... But yes, I agree. The future looks fascinating and possibly a little more within reach of us mere mortals.blueline wrote: Sat Feb 22, 2025 8:16 pmThat was informative and also quite amazing, even more so since it was over 4-years ago.
