Fingers crossed for you. I'd hold out for more than that high bid. BaT might not have the right demographic for that truck? The high bid would be a steal for that truck here in Silicon Valley...

Just odd timing or something. A similar truck (a little higher spec mechanically) sold for $50k on BaT earlier this week. Maybe people don't like green?

That's more like what I would have expected. I'd chalk it up to an auction fluke and try another auction or ad somewhere. If it keeps happening, then maybe people aren't feeling it, but it's a cool truck so I'm guessing it's just bum luck. When I sold my 991, I tried lots of places and had the best luck --by a country mile-- on good old Auto Trader. Cheap too.

Well, nice as it is, I don't think mine is a $50k truck. It's not quite done to that level. But I did think it's an honest $30-35k truck. Jury still out on that, though.

It was sitting for a few years and had no brakes, so I need to overhaul the brake system.

Hi Engelbert,

The Uni looks to be in excellent overall condition, at least from what I see in your pictures. The cab and bed look straight. Nice find!

I had this 1967 Kaiser M35A2 for a few years with the intent of having it straightened up a bit with some needed repairs and paint. I sold the tool boxes that were on it and put up the rickety wood slat sides that came with it - I had big plans! Unfortunately, the project fizzled out and then storage became an issue along with a "what do I do now?" feeling. The truck had some history, including time in Vietnam.

I ended up selling it a few years ago to a fellow in Florida. His buddy flew into Nashville on an early morning flight, got in the truck and immediately drove straight down all the way to the Keys, stopping only for diesel and restroom breaks. I couldn't believe it.

They did a quick clean up job, mounted a Bofors 40mm anti-aircraft gun in the rear and put her in a parade shortly thereafter.
