Hey that does look good! I wasn't sure how closely you wanted the color to match, which was my hesitation about painting for you. I think the flat black looks great though. That's also why I sent you so many of them. Your first paint job is WAY better than mine was, so with all the spares you can keep refining your technique. After doing a couple hundred, my paint work is significantly better than it was at first, but on the bigger pieces like that, it's still impossible (for me) to get them 'perfect' everytime.
That picture makes me wonder why Porsche stopped its hood so short on those cars. On my 992, the hood fully covers the gauge. If I had the plastic dash panel, I bet we could come up with a revised version with a full hood and/or a hood extension in the spirit of the 992....

@Tom The hood is amazing.

Thank you very much.
@Teddis thank you for sharing.
Still deciding on if I'm gonna paint this black or Blue.

@kapetajr , my pleasure...but this is ALL Tom
I think if it can be painted very close to hood colour....it works....if not matte black to match the pulpit.
I have a Matte one you can try. If you neeeeeeeed colour...change the dial. to blue...that will rock with Matte.

Are using primer on the hood or just paint?

Grab a can of primer and that should fix all the issues you are having.

Here is V2.....sanded more....ridges gone.....added some 303 for a light sheen.
Found a trick....for on off of these puppies, add a small, micro bit of grease on the tabs. then to remove.....just squeeze the sides.....off it comes. I can tell you the tabs are strong once it locks on.....with push.
Funny story........I had one hood on...trial.....it had one busted tab....took a corner at speed....ir popped off.....it bounced across the dash and OUT the window, goner........down 1, LMAO.
