@audi4t The stripe looks great! I wish I could do a stripe but my 718 steering wheel doesn’t have a top center notch.

For my Gentian Blue GTS, I used Oracal 631 matte vinyl in dark blue. Can buy a roll on Amazon or Michael's craft stores for $8-10.

This topic really got my hopes up, but when I checked my 2021 718 Spyder, there wasn't the "slot" your wheel has. Although, maybe it's because my wheel is Alcantara/Race Tex. Bummer!

I have a 2022 718 GTS 4.0. The steering wheel also doesn’t have the “slot.” I think the GT Sport steering wheels in the 991.2 have the slot. I want a slot!

Yea us 718 owners (except gt4/rs) don't get the steering wheel slot/stripe

Best we can do is a velcro strap lol. Just not the same.

Or just get a whole new steering wheel

My 944 wheel didn't have a center strip for the stripe, but I just put on one anyone. Not quite as nice, but not bad really...

Center slot should be on every Porsche steering wheel! Standard equipment!! (OK, maybe standard is a stretch, but at least an option. )

Come on Porsche! We want ICE and steering wheel center slots. Is that really so much to ask!

Great idea! Used the VViViD Matte Blood Red to match the calipers on my 2014 911S.

My GT cars have the stripe OEM, however that reminds me of a super-rare option I had ordered for my 7.2 RS...a thicker steering wheel. It does not seem to have been in the normal options list but I had asked the dealer to check back with the factory, and they had it as an option. I liked it so much I wanted to get a replacement for my 7.1RS but it was not available. Here it was when I picked it up in Zuffenhausen:

I've not seen a thicker steering wheel like that either but I haven't seen that many RS/GT type Porsches to know, especially considering how rare it must be. Maybe more of a known option in Europe back then when you found it? It's definitely unique.

Per your observation that at no more are available, I'm sure you take extra special care with it considering the Alcantara.
