Edit: Exterior of my car is Chalk which is also an option for the bezel.
Blackberry is like Bordeaux I believe in that it is a leather-only color -- i.e., not a color for which Porsche has a paint code. Paint codes make it easy because the paint shop can just plug in the code and the computer mixes up a perfect match. Without a paint code, it will take some time to get the color. I'd need to get a leather sample of blackberry, then take it to the paint shop and go through their colors to find the closest match. That's how we did Bordeaux, so shouldn't take 'too' long, but I'd need to start by finding a leather sample.

On the other hand, I have a light grey that people have said is not a bad match for Chalk (but not code-matched).

Want me to work on Blackberry or prefer the quicker-to-get quasi-chalk? You probably won't be the last to ask, so happy to work on Blackberry if that's what you prefer...

Great question. I’m unsure if the contrast between the BlackBerry and the black would be enough to justify all your hard work. On the other hand I don’t want the chalk to come off as too white and not tie in the exterior color to the cockpit. I’m thinking you likely have a better handle on what would work best given your experience with this and, of course, I’d be happy with whatever you decide in my attempt to personalize my interior a bit more.

Frankly I’m overwhelmed by your generosity and warm welcome to this forum.

Again, thanks….

Doesn’t Chalk have a paint code since a Porsche paint option?

Yes, chalk has a code (not blackberry). I've just never had chalk code-matched, since this grey is pretty close and no one has asked for it to be perfect. White is the same way. I have a Carrera White car and have painted some bezels in a basic Rustoleum white. It's not identical, so wouldn't work to repair the exterior, but when on the dash separated from the exterior paint, it's mighty hard to tell the difference. The exception would be for cars with the interior trim painted to match the exterior. In those cases, with the colors so close, you'd want it code-matched since they are close enough to notice slight color variations....

Hi @Tom, I am new to this site and loved your work with sport chrono bezels.

My interior is Black (with bordeaux seat belts) and exterior is carmine red (Taycan 4S). I would gladly pay for a paint match (bordeaux or carmine red) if possible...

Thanks....

Tom wrote: Fri Dec 31, 2021 11:56 am With thanks to @Ajjra for test-fitting, it seems the 992 bezel cover does fit the Taycan. So I'm starting this thread to gauge interest and see who wants one. I can ship them unpainted without delay to anyone who wants one to paint themselves (you pay postage). With all the crazy colors for the Taycan, I hesitate to offer to paint them, at least for free and/or quickly.... I can source any Porsche color, but it costs about $35 per color and is time-consuming to get....

Hi Tom,
is it possible to get one for the 992 odometer?
Color dosn‘t matter, because we paint it brewstergreen like my gt3 toring

Please contact me, if you can send one to germany.

Best regards Andreas

When you say odometer, which gauge do you mean? Maybe post a picture? For the Taycan, I only have the sports chrono bezel....?

@Tom . I had the Taycan at the dealership last week for a software update. The sales manager could not believe that the SC bezel was 3D printed. He thought it looked perfect. Great job.
