Took my grandson to his Go Kart League Race for the first time in the Cayman GTS and have to figure it could be good luck as he qualified on the " Pole " and won his first race of the Season! Some pics of he and grandpa leaving to go fulfill the need for speed!

Be prepared for them to squeal for the last 10-20 feet of a street driving stop - mine do anyway. The squeal is often absent fresh off the track if I've been able to burnish them a bit, but street use stopping will wear off much of the pad material resulting in a bit of squeal in slow, traffic laden stop and go conditions. (They don't squeal at all on track and they don't utter a peep under full, heavy braking.)
I track mine and street drive them as well. My don't really squeal on the street. I think it's because I added a set of these during the install.

Also kind of act like anti-squeal plates / brake shims.

Intriguing. Did you perchance have any squealing prior to using these shields or have you used them from the start with your Ferodo pads? I noticed that the shields are marketed as a heat-reducing add-on (always a good thing) and am guessing the squeal reduction is an unexpected bonus.
My squeal isn't that bad at all and, as I mentioned before, is only at the very end of street stops. It's from the front rotors only best I can tell.
There's nary a peep on track or even when pulling in the pits to a slow stop. I believe that's likely due to having redeposited a good burnish with proper and hard track braking. Plus, the rotors are extremely hot. However, that complete lack of squeal will go away after a dozen or so regular street stops. I'm not wild about the noise but I've learned how to navigate street stops mostly squeal-free via PDK downshifts and judicious, light touch brake pedal play.

I've always had them on from the start. I bought them for the heat reduction.
I do occasionally get street squeals. And like you said, it's only a little bit at the very end of street stops.
No squeals at the track, even in the pits.
