You got very lucky with that one, that’s a bad leak and a really bad place to have a leak.
Another lesson learned - my clutch master started leaking a couple of weeks later. Replaced with the 944online master and slave kit and all is well.
Hope that’s the end of the collateral damage!

Did you receive any feedback/parts list you can share on doing the conversion? I did not see anything detailed in this thread.whalenlg wrote: Mon Dec 16, 2024 11:24 pm
(2) Any good references in how to convert the OEM oil lines to AN12? Have to do one for sure.
Thanks,
Lee
Yes - I did make this replacement successfully:
Parts
AN12 braided hose (amazon) - EVIL ENERGY 12AN Fuel Line, 5 ft
4 x adapter 22MM to -12AN plus 2x90 deg, 1 straight, 1 45 deg (pegasus)
Setrab M22 to 12AN Male Adapter, Straight (pegasus)
Crush washers (porsche) between Setrab adapters and the oil cooler (need to remove the porsche adapter in the oil cooler)
AN12 cap for testing hoses (Amazon) AN12 Male Flare Bolt Blanking Plug End Cap Lock Nut Fitting Aluminum Alloy Plug Hex Connectors Blue
AN12 vice adapter
Had a leak when using air compressor to test the hoses + AN12 fittings in a bucket of water - pegasus suggested:
6 Seco seals (Pegasus) - 3202-12-ALUM - SECO 7 Seal - 12AN, Aluminum (4 to use, 2 spare)
Those resolved the leaks.
Use Kroil when removing the Porsche adapters that are in the oil cooler ports - I blindly put a breaker bar on stripped one of them. That entailed a visit to the machine shop. Be gentle!
Cut hose with and angle grinder and use an AN12 vice adapter to hold the ends tightly when inserting the hose.
The trickies part is always getting the hose fitting angles right and getting enough torque.
Ideally, you do the hoses on the oil cooler 1st so that you can torque them down outside of the car with the oil cooler in a vice. The car mount for the oil cooler isn't up to this.
You will have to remove the heat shield under the exhaust headers to get to the hoses on the engine side. Also tricky to get larger wrenches or claw foot wrenches in there.
The 1st time I did it, the engine was on a stand - piece of cake.
But angle adapter alignment for 1 hose was off. I had to do the next round in the car (not fun).

Thank you for the detailed response. I am considering doing a PCA HPDE at the end of July and thinking about a little PM on the almost 40 year old hoses. I also need to flush the brakes and clutch and get new tires. Everything else should be good.

In your list you have 2 different listed seals/washers. Do you remember which ones were used where?
Did you use the 90 deg elbow fittings on the engine block plate or oil cooler?
Thanks,
Lee

The Porsche seals go between the an12 thread converters and the oil cooler.zooklm1 wrote: Tue Jun 17, 2025 6:06 pm In your list you have 2 different listed seals/washers. Do you remember which ones were used where?

The seco seals go between the hose fittings and the thread converters
The 90 degree elbows go on the engine side.
