We stayed with friends a while back who have a 2008 base manual Cayman, which incidentally has my all-time favorite dark brown interior leather (Cocoa I 'think.'). I drove it around for errands and such and remember thinking it was just about a perfect sports car. So balanced, tight, and engaging to drive. That's probably why I still have my 944 next to my 992. They're both fun, but in an entirely different way, and there's no 'winding it out' in the 992...

Hey ReidMcT, some info for you regarding the items you requested:

-Wheel debris protectors: "TLG Guards" from Kies Motorsports: https://www.kiesmotorsports.com/product ... be30&_ss=r

-Custom designed 20" 2-piece wheels: I completed the purchase from a company called "Tianjin Dunhui Trade Co, Ltd" (https://dunhuicn.en.alibaba.com/) in China via the Alibaba.com "messages" interface. My sales rep's name was "Suen LiAng" and his responses to my messages were always in English (although they were sometimes a bit odd because I believe he was using a Chinese-to-English translation tool). Although the wheels I selected were custom-made to my specifications, they have LOTS of wheels to choose from, and they can customize anything based on the size and offset you're looking for. I selected the 20" x 8.5" front with +47ET and 20" x 11" rear with +45ET for my 718 Boxster S. You may want to go with 10.5" in the rear if you're looking for more of a stock fitment. The total cost was much less than 1/2 of what I was quoted in the US (I paid just under $2K), and the shipping wasn't too bad at about $250. The entire process took about 2 months from design to receipt, so you'll have to be patient if you want this to work. Of course, this was all pre-tariffs so I'm not sure what the cost would be now.
