That's where I searched and ordered from. Newark, DigiKey, Mouser. No one has a 6 position (TPS) JT or JPT. Not even in the TE connector catalog.

Yeah I looked forever for that one too. I did find a cheap knock off on Ali-express. They worked, but were noticeably cheaper and flimsier than the real ones. They used to sell the 6-pin one by itself, but now it looks like you need to buy it as part of a set that include 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, and 7-pin connectors. On the plus side, the 6-piece set cost $1.93!

I found the 6 position housing at kayjayco.com (Connectors page, item "AMP/Bosch 6-pin Female Housing Only").

That was many years ago, although the current website suggests they still sell them.

I'd bet a dime those are the knock-offs you can get on Aliexpress for peanuts. The picture looks like it came right off the Aliexpress ad...

Nope, they're definitely two different pictures, but yea probably good chance one or both are knock offs. I've never seen that Aliexpress website but Ballanger typically sells quality products in my experience.

Doh! Yes I posted the 7 pin there... Comparing the 6 pin pictures they still do look slightly different from each other in parting lines and labeling but anyway, if one wanted to buy a single kit it's available there.

yeah, I thought the pictures were identical, but they are slightly different. There's also no way to know if the aliexpress ad shows their actual product or the real thing...

Since we have assembled a group that shares my bizarre interest in electrical connectors, maybe I'll ask if someone can help with an issue I've had for a long time. On the terminal pins, the part that wraps around the wire insulation has been a constant pain for me. I make a harness for my Track Nanny that uses both the male and female pins. I've found good male pins, with little tangs that wrap around an 18 gauge wire nicely. See pic. For the female pins, like the ones that go into the engine harness connectors, the part that wraps around the wire insulation is always too big. I end up snipping them shorter before I crimp them, but would love to find female pins with shorter wire insulation tangs that would wrap around an 18 gauge wire without needing to be cut.

I wonder if you are ending up with the female pins meant to use a wire seal.

Looks like maybe the pins with the open area in the bottom of the insulation crimp area (like your one pic) are meant for wire seals: But there are others that look like they are not meant for wire seals.
Hard to tell though b/c the last pic the insulation tangs still do look maybe a bit long...Also depends what type of wire you are using and the thickness of the insulation. M2279/32 has a much smaller overall diameter due to smaller wall thickness/stronger insulation (1.52mm) compared to TXL (2.20mm) or generic auto parts store wire (way larger) for example. If you're using a quality smaller diameter wire then probably going to have to keep trimming... Curious what others have to say.
