Glad you got it! Using the 2x lumber like that is very creative.
I share my trans and differential fluid reminder to ALWAYS remove the fill plug first.
And for the limited-slip differential (option 220 IIRC) you can 'tune' the differential some with blends of regular and NS fluids. My goal is to maintain about 30 lbs/ft of breakaway torque on one axle, in neutral with brake off, with the other wheel still on the ground. More than that and it sometimes chatters, while less than 20 or so means it's slipping more than helping. My last change had about 30% NS in it, using Redline fluids. YMMV and all, but that's what was still working well to about 90k, so I went back in with the same mix.
