Along the Italian border, in that case, you are in the best part of France for mountain driving.

Great scenery as I have driven all the passes from Martigny to Nice: St. Bernard, Petit St. Bernard, Vars, Telegraph, Galibier, d'Izoard, Bonette, etc. on a motorcycle of course. A few of my ~240 different passes driven in the Alps & Corsica. Roads to die for. Lucky you!

Not on a motorcycle unless I rent one. I sold my Canadian plated 2003 BMW R1150 GS Adventure that I kept in Europe to a rider in Spain a few months ago. So after 27 year of riding Europe, the Alps & Corsica (on this and other BMWs), it is time to move on and ride the far less technical roads back home in the US and Canada.

If you are north of Nice, I drove a backroad (M59 & D428) from La Bollinette on the M2205 to the Gorges du Cians on the D28 through Illonse and Pierlas. Unbelievable ultra narrow road. It reminded me of the D roads in Corsica.

I have worked at BMW Motorrad motorcycles dealership as a mechanic

I'm between Toulon and Marseille, near the Castelet (with his famous track Paul Ricard)

I take note of this roads for my next rides !
