I was 72 when I got my 718, loved it from the start, and still do. But my knee trouble isn't going away, it is becoming such a chore to get out (getting is helped by gravity) that I find myself driving my Cayenne where I would have before automatically chosen the Cayman. I am facing reality, and as much as I hate to, I think now is the right time to sell as values are holding pretty high. I realize it might go up more once they are NLA but I'm not going to have it sit in my garage for nearly a year for that to happen.
I've been looking at BMW M240i models, new and used. But a friend has a Mercedes AMG C43 that he loves and I've found one just like I would have ordered it(except for the auto tranny) so I may get one of those. Getting old sucks, but I've had a great run of sports cars in my lifetime going all the way back to my 1970 240Z. No regrets, can't stop the aging process and I'll still be a Porsche owner. BTW, I have a loaner Macan S while my Cayenne is in the shop for a recall, nice little German hot rod. They told me to drive it like I stole it, and I'm certainly doing that. 115 in 4th gear and I love watching the tach move to redline and fall back only to advance again and again to redline. I could live with a Macan if I still had the Cayenne to carry the stuff that won't fit in a Macan. But I only have so much garage space.

Torque is king in city driving(and accelerating out of corners on track) and the difference is very noticeable. I love mine but unfortunately it looks like it will soon leave me due to advanced age(driver), something I can't prevent. You won't be sorry, it's a phenomenal car.
