Also, did / do you have relatives in the NJ area? I remember buying a set of 951 phone dials from someone in NJ and could have sworn they said they knew you. That was many years ago, however.
I didn't even know you made those slider repair inserts - how do I order them?

Re the inserts, if you have a printer, or access to one, the STL file is posted here for anyone to print (free): viewtopic.php?t=877
It's a 5 minute print, literally, and can be done on virtually any printer. Or, if easier, just PM me your address and I'll send you some.
Re Rennlist, I'll hold my comments so as not to drag down Travis's faceplate thread. They banned John Dunkle. That's like banning Santa Claus and Winnie-the-Poo. Nuff said.
No know relatives in NJ. Raj Data is in NJ and is a long-time 944/968 guy who sells parts occasionally. He's the first NJ 944 guy I know that comes to mind.... Maybe him?

First I want to thank Travis, excellent product all over, and extra fast shipping.
I started to do three units today, Transferring the stickers is pretty simple, I just used a small exact blade inserted between the plastic and the sticker, and gently go around.
Then use some spray glue (I like temporary from any hobby store), apply some and put the stickers on the new panel.
Then remember what was talked about here, the old panel is secured by the switches (under), so I suggest you DESTROY THE OLD PANEL, break off in small pieces, and keep going, until EVERYTHING IS LOOSE.
I made the mistake of being overly confident, and did not think that the old panel would be stuck to the rheostat, and when I pulled, I damaged the rheostat and one of the sliders, so I suggest you brake it, especially if it is not completely brittle. I have many units, so some had a "better" panel, those were the ones that were more difficult.
After you remove the old panel, (hopefully you will not damage anything), the new panel just snaps in and gets secured with the rheostat nut. Just make sure that the 2 bulbs on the side of the rheostat for blue and red, are correctly aligned and done.

Good write-up.
I too ordered this. Fast shipping and the installation was a breeze.
I had the typical cracked and yellowed original and the screw points on one side were broken.
It fit perfectly. Nice remanufacture on this.

Did the decals ever become available separately?
I'm trying to get my parts ready for this winter to get my 951 looking good!
I see on 944store they come with the faceplate now so hopefully I just missed it

Not sure if Travis sold the decals separately.
I too have the faceplates (with Travis stickers) for sale in my ebay store.
But I would assume if you bought the original faceplates, you can transfer the old stickers or get new ones from him.
