Here is the detailed installation I did on my 718 GT4 with parts added to point out the differences in a 981 installation. I hope this makes your install easy as pie!

I've never done a 718 install from beginning to end like that. I've only shown up to help once the engine was exposed, so I have a newfound appreciation for what the 718 people go through to get these things installed! Couple thoughts: I supply long harnesses like that in case people want to have the Track Nanny up near the driver, but for people who put it in the back like that, I can always supply a shorter cable. Also, in theory, the Track Nanny should be installed in an open area to pick up a strong GPS signal but the signal is so strong at Laguna Seca (and most of the Bay Area) that you can get away with putting it just about anywhere. Other locations may need a clear view of the sky and/or the antenna. Thanks again for such a great video!
