First off, my sincere apologies for the extra layer of scrutiny here, and thank you for taking the time to upload those stampings and reduced price. I'm quite tempted myself. As part our review on classifieds like this, I see that your registration details here on carpokes are tied to other items being sold across a few UK platforms. Where are you located and will the wheels ship from? Out of an abundance of caution, could you please take a quick, 30-second continuous video of the wheels and upload it to YouTube (you can set it to 'Unlisted') with a link here, or if you prefer emailed to [email protected]? In the video, I'd ask you to say today's date and that they are listed on Carpokes for $1500. Also, please run a tape measure or ruler across the back of one of the front wheels to show the hub clearance. Apologies for the extra work, but better safe than sorry in today's online world. Truly appreciate your understanding and cooperation with our community safety!

Thanks, it's always a balancing act between keeping the community safe and risking offending well-intentioned sellers. I'd be very happy to receive assurances about this ad/seller, but I have concerns based on the things I already mentioned. Since then, it's also been pointed out to me that some or all of the follow-up pics posted in this thread, in response to my request, appear to be identical to pictures posted on Bring a Trailer about a year ago. As just one example of that...

The picture above was posted here on Carpokes in response to my request. The picture below is from Bring a Trailer. Note how they appear identical down to the random casting marks/lint, etc. It's also worth noting that RennDriver initially said he/she did not know who restored the wheels, then after posting these pictures said they were done by "Peter Nguyen in California." The BAT listing said those wheels were done by "Peter Nguyen in California" as well. So, all in, just felt worthy of some further validation...

The price seems way too good to be true. Frankly if it was real, I would be very tempted to buy them and hold them. Seems way too cheap.
