Looking for some input / advice. I’ve got a 91 cab that I’ve owned for 30+ years, and hope to keep it in the family for many more.
The front convertible top motors went out (most likely the plastic gears). Mechanic suggested I replace with manual locking handle mechanism, as used on targa top. Also have seen motor rebuild kits replacing plastic with brass gears. The idea of reducing complexity with manual handles is intriguing, but worrying about creating issues with other parts of top system. Anyone have experience in this area? Suggestions?
