Looking for a shop that specializes in air conditioning repairs on a 964. I'm with the Potomac region.
Any recommendations appreciated.

Unfortunately, it's getting harder and harder to find shops willing to work on any R12 system, and I'd hazard a guess there isn't a shop anywhere that specializes in the 964 a/c system in particular. I've looked for a shop willing to work on the r12 system in my old Mercedes and found essentially nothing here in the south SF Bay Area. Most shops will, at best, offer to convert to r134a (which isn't necessarily a bad thing). These guys seem to get the best reviews I can find in your area for the older Porsches, though I have no personal experience with them.

And, many (not all) dealers will take anything with a Porsche crest on it... My dealer had two different 356s in the service bay when I was in for an oil change this week...
