For a 944 NA, I’d stick with OEM Porsche if budget allows, or an OEM-supplier quality pump. In practice the most consistently good options people have luck with are Hepu and Laso. Graf is also commonly used and usually fine, but I see more mixed reports compared to Hepu/Laso.

What I’d avoid is no-name “white box” pumps, especially if the listing is vague about the manufacturer. The labor to redo a 944 water pump/timing service is the expensive part, so it’s worth buying a known brand.

Also make sure you’re getting the correct pump for your year (early vs late offset differences) and that you replace the thermostat, seals, and any questionable rollers while you’re in there. If you tell me your model year (and whether it’s early or 85.5+), I can sanity-check which pump version you should be ordering.
