Tremola aka Passo del San Gottardo, Switzerland. All cobblestone so it can get a bit slippery in the rain, especailly on two wheels.

Not my video, but a very well done video by Ian B taking the Strada della Forra which leads to Tremosine sul Garda and other small towns high above Lago di Garda, Italy. Worth the 8 minutes to view. I've taken it in 2022 and 2023. A road to die for. Also a James Bond road much like the other James Bond road on the Furka Pass in Switzerland near Andermatt.

Unbelievable views - simply stunning.

Regarding the video along with one of your earlier pics on a narrow pass, I cannot envision the options when encountering a vehicle coming the other way. The traffic flow lights help, but...

Obviously, there is not enough room for two four-wheeled cars to pass at the spot where the bike rider encountered oncoming traffic. It was tight with just the bike and the cars at that pass and there were no traffic signals controlling passage that I saw. And what if someone with a green passage light decides to utilize one of the pull-offs for a view and a bit of respite? I know I am missing much in what all is involved, but still, lots of "how does this work" kinds of questions.

But, no matter - I enjoyed what I saw. I know it wasn't you and your bike, but still great footage!

More gorgeousness Mr R.

Amarillo! (Ancient connections.) The composition with the fuel truck is one of those that I am instantly drawn to. (Is that a bullet hole I spy in the w'shield? Lol)

Amazing cloud formations - you won't see that every day.

The views are better in person.

Unlike what you saw in the video, the Strada della Forra is a one-way up the road for most of the day, i believe from 7 AM to 7 PM. During those times, another road from the towns atop the cliff take you down to Limone that is just north of where Ian B turned off the main road along the side of the lake.

Yeah, after 27 years of riding there every summer in the Alps and Corsica since 1995, less two years of Covid BS, I am going to miss it (I might just rent). Unfortunately, I sold my BMW last December. I guess I'll have to ride the far less technical roads over here now. I started watching YouTube videos of tours here and they talk about twisty roads. I had to roll my eyes as we do not have twisty roads, not even in the Rockies.

BTW, I also viewed countless Porsche videos in the Alps on YouTube. Too frustrating since you cannot pass on the narrow roads unless you are on wider passes like the Grossglockner or Simplon passes.
