Interesting and unfortunate regarding the C8. Prior (ok, old) Corvette guy here - C2 427, C6's, C7 - all were great but they're not Porsches.

If only I could have pushed it- I was stuck on an active road for 5 hours as the GM sourced DCT transmission has a quirk- when the engine isn't running it cannot be moved from park. Note the engine wont run when a rod suddenly breaks and fries two cylinders at 13000 miles
