Regarding number of subscribers, I found this from their Q3 2003 SEC filing: "Hagerty Driver’s Club (HDC) paid members increased 8% to approximately 807,000 compared to the prior year period."

807k I suddenly worry about the cost of advertising with them, but will find out. That's nearly 8 times the circulation of Panorama, and I'll be interested to see if they have any data about Porsche owners in their ranks.

They definitely will have ownership data since most (all?) Drivers Club members also have at least some of their vehicles insured with Hagerty. Not sure if nor how they share that info but the ad rep will know. Hopefully ad cost will not be excessive.

It's an awesome company with service and incredible customer support. As a specialty/collector car insurer-only, their coverage is pretty awesome too. In all my many years I have never had an insurance company as pleasant and straightforward to deal with as Hagerty. Not even close. I hope that never changes.

Great idea from Stormy and if too much it might be something to view in the future. Of course they are looking for folks to Insure with them , so you might toss a carrot and let them know they could post a header on the site and to keep within your guidelines ------you don't pay them for an Advertisement in their letter and you don't charge them for listing on the Header, ha! As a starter you might try to barter, hehe!

Have been working on Grassroots Motorsport for a while and happy to say it's now a live ad in their rotation. Kind of a flyer, but I've always like that magazine. Will look at Hagerty next.

Fantastic, Tom, I think Grassroots Motorsports is one of the most highly read and regarded automotive mags out there! I have known Tim Suddard since he started the periodical in the 80s ( it was AutoX back then). This should put Carpokes out there with plenty of Porsche folks who track and autocross their cars. Great move for placement in front of Trackrat Porschephiles to help them get acquainted with the Carpokes Forum!

Bam, we are now over 4700 members with a little over a month to go. Will we make it , hard to tell , but it could be pretty darn close, so tell your friends who have not checked out Carpokes they might want to as it is easy to tell that there is more activity on this relatively young site. It is fun to be on a growing Forum not long after it has begun and it is often a great time as you do get to know more folks when there are fewer, but you also can have more input for the site by sending your current friends over. 5000 members is just a month ( or two ) away!

One of the best ways to help Carpokes grow is to mention us on other social media sites/forums (without violating rules or being annoying, etc.) -- especially mentioning some of the things likely to make people join, like the license plate mounts, mode dial covers, free 3D print files, free diagnostic downloads, total lack of jerks, etc. At our current rate, we are trending toward getting to 5k around the end of January. Sincerely appreciate all the effort to get us there -- great to know there IS room on the internet for grassroots Porsche forum not owned by a mega-media company.

I second Tom’s response, you are amazing. My only recommendation, if there still is time, is to change colored to hand painted - IMO, sounds more exclusive.
