Jeremy,

The clutch slave cylinder has a small red plastic restrictor inside. Supposedly it is there to prevent overly aggressive launches. If one wants to remove it, a properly-sized screw makes quick work of it. Just a thought.

Did my second PCA UCR (Upper Canada Region) event.
This one was the Porsche Travel Experience Fall Foliage Drive, a nice drive in the Kawartha Lakes area to the southern perimeter of Algonquin Provincial Park in Ontario, Canada.

There was around 23 vehicles in the group.
Looking forward to next season.

I know I say this often, but I'll say it again (and probably not the last time either) - every time you post a picture of your 718, I think about how good your car looks. It's about perfect in my book! There's something about the whole picture.

I really appreciate this post, I have been looking on google and have not found this information yet. I will have the replacement slave cylinder this week and the old one will be perfect to experiment on with. Is it fair to say that you have not yet done this to your car? How did you learn this tip?

Interesting. I remember there was something like that in the clutch hydraulics of my old BMW E36. The clutch was much more responsive once I removed it. I had no idea Porsche was doing this also.

I have done it. There was a discussion on another forum and someone posted that Porsche service manual diagram. I ordered a replacement s/c and studied how best to remove the restrictor.
