Upgraded my 997.1 RS to new Porsche PCM

This is quite a useful upgrade. You lose the CD player ( which I never used anyway) and get modern interface including bluttooth . Apple Play also but not wireless on this one like the new cars.
I have had the car since new so it is a faithful old friend with lots of campaigns behind it. The new PCM is the middle shot with the old one below. Looks completely OEM. Good job by Porsche.

Porsche did do a good job with the upgrade. It also looks to be worthwhile upgrade to older systems, especially for cars that are driven a lot.

If you want wireless Apple CarPlay, you can buy a 3rd party adapter, and leave it plugged into the USB. This is what I do for my GT4 RS.

This site does tons of reviews on the adapters:

The one I'm using is a CarLink, but it's an older rev (these things are continuously rev'd).
