Your car is leaving the port now and should be here tomorrow. When would you like to come get it? I will just need 24 hours to get it through the shop for inspection and programming.

I am scheduled to pick it up tomorrow 12-1-22. I'll make pictures in the same place that we had the 1st Carpokes Atlanta event. It seems the car-hauler is full of Hennessey Porsche ordered cars.

The big thing is a trade (or not) for my current Porsche 911 992 which I bought new from them 2-1-20. It has 7500 miles on it and has been fully serviced. It's in full warranty until 2-1-24. These cars are hard to find.

Nonetheless, the 2023 Turbo will go home with me. I'll post pictures tomorrow.

90k ADM? That's high for a turbo

No, no. I am saying a 2020 Porsche Carrera 3.0L +$90K for a 2023 Porsche Turbo (big twin turbo's with stronger parts and the dry sump 3.8L L/229 engine). The Turbo is 572 HP with 553 Torque at 2250 Rpm. The 2020 Porsche 911 was no slow car at 379 HP with my sticker at $105,910.

My dealer does not allow any ADM and never has. Porsche N.A. (based here) does encourage this pricing.

I am going in the closing settlement with two balls on fire. I have the money that they need to stay in business. I can wait if they offer me a poor deal.

That said, Porsche makes a lot more money on their SUV's. The trucks out-sell the 911 cars. Porsche sells trucks since the Porsche 911 is a world-famous marque that all other manufacturers wish that they own.

As a recent buyer of a lightly used 911, I’d say you are close, but they are going to come in a bit lower for your trade IMO. I’m in a relatively small, low demand market so I may be off. I’m sure you can negotiate their offer up.

Not sure about Georgia, but in some states you only pay sales tax on the difference, which can help offset the lower trade-in values dealers tend to give. When I upgraded to my 992TTS, I ended up selling my 991TTS myself and got about $15k more than the dealer would have given me, or about 10% more than the dealer. It was kind of a chore to sell, however, with scam-artists and dealer lo-ballers representing the vast majority of inquiries. For $15k it was worth the effort to me, but not by much....

Yes in Ga we pay Ad Valorem tax (sales tax) on the difference between the new car sales price and the trade in allowance of the old car.

I 100% agree with you.

I was saying after the Porsche dealer noticed 7 guys arrive with Carpokes t-shirts. We flirted with the cute receptionist and drank a bunch of the free coffee. We told her that we will buy in the future.

They don't want a bad review with pictures.

This is my third rodeo on the water-cooled car. I can meet them half-way on a trade. No Doubt. It's part of the negotiations.

Not all 911 ICE's have been put on the chopping block, at least not yet. However, other Porsche model lines are scheduled to be all-electric very soon. (A few hybrids thrown in? Maybe.) Remember too that Porsche is still working on synfuels.

Oliver Blume, Porsche CEO and now also VW Group CEO, has said more than once that there will always be an ICE-powered 911. Of course, maybe they only assemble 100 a year or maybe some govt bans them completely. Anything can happen.

Meanwhile, I'm going to continue remaining optimistic about ICE 911's.
