What a great thread and journey. Really enjoyed watching this car come back to life -- thank you for sharing! What's next?

Hard to say. A big part of the process is waiting for an interesting car that can pass my vetting to be a viable project. Sometimes it takes a while to find it. A couple months is not unusual.

There is good upside in these, but it needs a lot. It's probably going to end up being my second most expensive project to date. (Probably no surprise to anyone here, the most expensive was the '72 911T.)Tom wrote: Sun Sep 01, 2024 4:55 pmAwesome, a good friend had one back in the day -- a 302 with 4-speed conversion. Fun ride back then, with crazy resale value these days. This could be a biggie!

For certain a worthy project in my book - great choice and a good find. Based on your projects we've seen to date I imagine you will do well on the sales side while getting a lot of satisfaction and enjoyment with the process as it takes place, something I recall you've mentioned is a key takeaway for you. That's impressive.Arne2 wrote: Sun Sep 01, 2024 5:06 pmThere is good upside in these, but it needs a lot. It's probably going to end up being my second most expensive project to date. The market and demand is definitely there for a good Bronco II. Looking forward to watching the project as it unfolds.

Got it home yesterday, after some transport "challenges". Haven't got all the odds and ends unloaded yet, but it's in the garage now.

How nice to see the 2 brands that I have owned.
My 1974 Capri was my first car that I bought used in 1977 with about 30K miles and my 2015 Porsche 991.1 Carrera 4 GTS that I bought used in 2018 with 98 miles was my last purchase that I still have. Now if we all had a garage like Jay Leno's so that we had the space to keep all vehicles worth keeping.
Surprised you are selling it.
Alex

I always sell them. It's the restoration process I enjoy, plus learning the details about some vehicle new to me. I'm not a collector. I have my daily driver, my small 4x4 truck for hauling and nasty weather, and my Cayman for fun. The projects all get sold when they are finished.
