914 front spoiler

I recently received a fiberglass front spoiler for my '73 from Pelican. It was manufactured by AIR in Azusa, CA. The problem is that it is over 2" too narrow for my 914. I've done a lot of fiberglass repair on the various race cars that I have owned over the years but this would have to be resectioned to add the additional material to make it fit. It doesn't seem worth the effort if there is a better alternative. I removed the original steel front valance as it has a number of small dents. I could probably work them out with an English wheel but I don't have access to one.

Do any of you know of another source for a replacement front valance or spoiler?

What did Pelican say ? It's possible someone made a picking error . Or wrong part in right packaging .

They said that AIR only makes that one size of that spoiler (similar to the LE). No hassle for n the return though.

Pelican are stand up guys (and gals)...
I always thought the DOT "5 mph bumper" regulations for '75 and '76 914's were the thing that "spoiled" the front (and rear) ends of the 914.....
Saw my 1st Porsche, in 1962, at age 11, whilst riding with Dad in his VW, in Tucson, AZ.
Love at 1st sight.... :shifty: Now, 35 Porsches later.....what can I say.
