Crazy situation as I wondered if new Cayennes were all under restriction, and after talking to my son Ryan about the large inventory of Cayennes at Porsche of Omaha he said they are all for Sale!

The Wall Street Journal published a well-written article today regarding the issue with Porsches, Audis and Bentleys currently stuck in port due to sanctions on a specified Chinese indirect supplier company with forced labor issues.
WSJ is behind a paywall but some articles such as this one will get disseminated. The piece reaffirmed that fact that VW self-reported the issue as has been reported elsewhere. The challenge of the sanctions have apparently had an effect on other manufacturers sourcing components worldwide.
Several nuggets of info that were previously unknown (to me). It's worth a quick read if the issue is on your radar.

I would be curious where this transformer(s) sits in schematic. But only one device per car? But that's the old engineer in me.

Hopefully I'll find out a few details from lead tech at the dealer once the affected vehicles start rolling in. I would think that there will be some sort of record in the service history of each car/SUV.Stormy_Monday wrote: ↑Thu Mar 07, 2024 3:30 am I would be curious where this transformer(s) sits in schematic.
