Lowering your 997

I have a simple question, my '02 996.2 has a set of Bilstein struts, B6, with the springs that they supply. The car wants to "float" at high highway speeds. It looks like the ride height is correct, and I have measured it to be as specified at I think 110mm from the bottom of the control arms.
I feel that a shorter/lower set of springs will do the trick to eliminate that feeling, and add some much needed stability. First off, where do I source the springs that will retain the ride, but aid in solving the unstable feeling condition of the float.

Any thoughts that you can share with me ?

I’ve had super luck with Swift springs.. they can make any length, tension you need . Best 400.00 I ever spent.. the ride improvements were fabulous

I'm lowered on Eibach Sports. They typically lower your car about 1" and still provide a compliant ride. H&Rs are too firm for my taste, although they do drop slightly lower at about 1.25". Yes, if you install lowering springs, you will need an alignment post install.

I lowered an inch and have no rubbing in the wheel wells but….the small spoilers ahead of front wheels will hit the ground at high g loads. Nothing major…

As long as we’re talking suspension narrow body 997.2, those of you with springs… what’s the measurements from the bottom of the fender to the ground with H&R and Eibachs.. ??

I’m growing tired of coilovers… I just had it aligned and noticed it’s settled again and now a strut looks to be bad… tired of it!!
I would just like to know what I’m getting into with ride height. I don’t like slammed or real low. Lmk and thank you x 911

I have my 997.2 C4S on H&R lowering springs and measured that it dropped a full inch all around. My PASM died so I replaced with the DSC module, but it clearly needs to be customized to better fit my preferences, so that's my next project.

When you say "fender lip bottom" are you talking about top center of the wheel well to the ground or another point?
