I have a simple question, my '02 996.2 has a set of Bilstein struts, B6, with the springs that they supply. The car wants to "float" at high highway speeds. It looks like the ride height is correct, and I have measured it to be as specified at I think 110mm from the bottom of the control arms.
I feel that a shorter/lower set of springs will do the trick to eliminate that feeling, and add some much needed stability. First off, where do I source the springs that will retain the ride, but aid in solving the unstable feeling condition of the float.
Any thoughts that you can share with me ?

I’ve had super luck with Swift springs.. they can make any length, tension you need . I'm lowered on Eibach Sports. They typically lower your car about 1" and still provide a compliant ride. H&Rs are too firm for my taste, although they do drop slightly lower at about 1.25". Yes, if you install lowering springs, you will need an alignment post install.

I lowered an inch and have no rubbing in the wheel wells but….the small spoilers ahead of front wheels will hit the ground at high g loads. Nothing major…

I’m about to go back to lowering springs… coilovers are a pita to keep at constant ride height
As long as we’re talking suspension narrow body 997.2, those of you with springs… what’s the measurements from the bottom of the fender to the ground with H&R and Eibachs.. ??
I’m growing tired of coilovers… I just had it aligned and noticed it’s settled again and now a strut looks to be bad… tired of it!!
I would just like to know what I’m getting into with ride height. I don’t like slammed or real low. Lmk and thank you x 911

This looks great. I've been looking all over for examples of a black 997.2 on Fuchs. Love that color.
